There are four main city passes to choose from in Amsterdam. Which pass is the best depends on your preferences: each Amsterdam Pass has its own focus and advantages.
I Amsterdam City Card (official)
The most comprehensive and official option with over 70 museums and attractions. Includes almost all major highlights such as the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, Rembrand House and Moco Museum, plus a canal cruise and 24-hour bike rental.
Special feature: Unlimited use of public transport (GVB buses, streetcars, metro, ferries) is included. However, the Van Gogh Museum is not included.
Available for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours. The price rises with each step up in duration. Ideal for visitors who want to visit many museums and move around the city a lot.
Go City All-Inclusive Pass
Focus on top attractions and experiences with over 40 sights. Includes popular highlights such as Heineken Experience, A'DAM Lookout, This is Holland, Rijksmuseum and Madame Tussauds.
Seasonal bonus: Access to Keukenhof including transfer available. Public transportation is not included.

Which city passes are available for Amsterdam?+
Amsterdam has passes from two providers plus a digital combination ticket. The official I amsterdam City Card comes as Total Experience and as Explorer. Go City sells an Essentials, an Explorer and an All-Inclusive Pass. The Amsterdam Digital Pass bundles the Van Gogh Museum with a canal cruise.
Is public transport included in an Amsterdam pass?+
Included in full only in the I amsterdam City Card Total Experience. It covers the GVB network: trams, buses, metro and ferries. The Explorer variant of the same card leaves it out, and so does every Go City pass. In the Amsterdam Digital Pass a 24-hour ticket is one of the options.
Is the Van Gogh Museum part of the passes?+
Not in the I amsterdam City Card. If the Van Gogh Museum is your reason for coming, look at the Amsterdam Digital Pass: it books the museum with a fixed time slot and adds a canal cruise. Slots there are pre-booked, so you do not queue for a ticket on the day.
How long is an Amsterdam pass valid?+
The I amsterdam City Card runs for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours from first use. The Go City All-Inclusive Pass covers 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive calendar days. The Explorer Pass works differently: you pick a number of attractions and have 60 days from first use to redeem them.
Which Amsterdam pass suits your trip?+
